Refugee

A photo essay on the -now torn down by the local authorities- Afghan self-constructed refugee camp in the city of Patras, Greece. Where the dream to escape in search of a better life was destroyed by barb wire, truck drivers, the police and the furious locals. Where the people shared everything with each other... or nothing. And eventually revolted. Silence prevailed and every reminder of their presence was carefully wiped away.
